Christie and I took the girls to the pumpkin patch yesterday and boy did we have fun !!!! This was mine and Kyleigh's first year to go !! I really enjoyed it. The girls were so funny trying to pick out the "perfect" pumpkin and they did such a great job ! I never knew a corndog and cheese fries could taste so good and the best part was the apple slices with caramel dip!! It was amazing!! All together it was a great trip !! We love spending time with Aunt Christie and Kyndle !! Now , we are looking forward to our Gatlinburg trip with Nana and Paw Paw!! Yay ! We are leaving Thursday morning !!! Lastnight we had a bike night at Iron Works in Hueytown to promote the Ride for Ryan 2010!!! Thank you so much to all of you who came!! We had a great time .The ride will be on October 9th at Calvary Baptist Church. This will be the 5th Annual Ride ! We miss Ryan so much , and this day gives us a chance to celebrate him , raise money for a great charity , and spend lots of wonderful time with our family and friends , so everyone please come out on October the 9th and you will be sure to have a great time !! WOW !! We had a great time this past Saturday for Kyleigh's 2nd Birthday !! We are so blessed to have such great friends and family !! Thanks to everyone for coming out and celebrating with us ! Wow !!! Where has time gone. I can't believe that our precious Kyleigh will be two tomorrow. I knew I better post this today , because tomorrow is going to be one busy day for us . We are having Kyleigh an Elmo party and I know she is going to love it. I swear she could watch Elmo over and over again and never get tired of it. We love Kyleigh so much and can not even remember what life was like before her. Kyleigh is learning so much now days and she just amazes me. I thank God everyday for giving us this precious and beautiful gift.

Beach Trip 2010

We went to Panama City Beach last week and boy did we have a blast ! We are so happy that the Scoggins got to go as well. DD and KyKy loved playing everyday together. The weather was perfect and the beach was oil free ! Kyleigh LOVED everything about the beach ! Allison was so sweet to take pictures for us, so thank you Allison for these priceless memories ! I love them !

I decided to play around with Kyleigh's hair this past weekend , and it will FINALLY go up in a little ponytail !!! She looked so cute ! I had an awesome Mother's day. The day started out with us going to church. After church, Kyleigh and I headed out to Homestead Hollow with Christie and Kyndle to meet Mom and Dad there !! The weather was great for Homestead Hollow ! We had a really good time and I believe that Mom loved her gifts !!! The photo book turned out perfect and I know she will put her tanning package to good use !! After Homestead Hollow ,me , Kevin , and Kyleigh went over to Kevin's mom's for dinner. We had Zaxby's , YUMMY ! We got Kev's mom a gift certificate to Sips & Strokes ! She is very excited about it and I can't wait to take her !!!! Altogether it was a GREAT day . Thank you Kevin and Kyleigh for my beautiful rocking chairs !!! I LOVE them :)

Last week Kyleigh took her first school pictures . We got them back yesterday and I thought that it turned out so cute! Our little girl is growing too fast !! It is amazing how they can get her to sit there and smile and I can't even get her to look at me most the time I try to take her picture !!! lol

Yesterday Christie and I took the girls to play at the park . The weather was awesome and we had to take advantage of it ! Kyleigh and Kyndle LOVED it , and they both cried when it was time to go ! After the park we went to Christie's house to play with some of Kyndle's new toys. Those girls love the outdoors. We had a wonderful time and I love letting the girls get together and play. This year was the first year that I took Kyleigh to the Christmas parade in Hueytown. Her favorite part was when I would let her down to gather up some candy! I think the cold weather got the best of her though , she wasn't to happy by the time it was over . It was a great day though , Kyndle was just a little doll . Kyndle and Kyleigh even got to meet Mickey and Minnie ! Kyleigh loved them , on the other hand Kyndle wasn't to sure about them !!!!

Lastnight we went to the Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser concert at the Alabama Theatre. I won tickets and meet and greet passes off of 102.5 the Bull !!! We had an awesome time! It was really fun getting to meet with Jamie at the radio station before the concert. We also learned that he too has a little girl named Kylee ! She was there and she is gorgeous . She is five . James Otto even made a suprise appearance . He was really good also ! All together yesterday was just a great day ! Hope everyone has a blessed week and a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This past Saturday my best friend April got married to the man of her dreams. I am so excited for them . April has waited so long for this day . I think that everything turned out PERFECT. Easy Salsa Dip Recipe !!

Enjoy !!!!

Ingredients :
1 8oz block of softened cream cheese
1 Jar of your favorite salsa
1 bag of shredded cheese
1 bag of scoop chips

Directions :

Using an 8 x 8 baking pan , you will press the cream cheese evenly against the bottom of the pan making your bottom layer .
Next you will pour the salsa evenly to make the middle layer
Lastly you will cover top layer completely with shredded cheese
Bake @ 350 degrees until cheese is bubbling .

Serve hot with scoop chips .
*** Great for game days ***

HALLOWEEN 2009

This year was so much fun. Last year Kyleigh really didn't know what was going on , but this year she really seemed to enjoy herself. Christie and I had a photo session with the girls before heading out to trick or treat!!! I LOVE all the new pictures(thanks Aunt Christie). I think Kyndle's favorite part of the whole day was getting to play with the pretty leaves !!! Little Grady stopped in just in time for Christie to snap a few pictures of him also . He is sooooo cute !! We took the girls to Concord Baptist Church first (that was Kevin's favorite stop because they had FOOD haha). It was a lot of fun , Kyleigh even got to adopt a pet (stuffed animal) and we named it Abbey , because she can say Abbey so clear right now !! It is soooo cute! After that , we went around Christie's neighborhood , and then headed over to some of our family's houses to show our little ladybugs off !!! Everything was perfect and we had an awesome time this year !!! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and have a great week !!!!

4th Annual Ride for Ryan !!!

This past Saturday we had the 4th Annual Ride for Ryan. We are so thankful for our loving community. The rain didn't stop all the support. This day is so special to our family. Huge thanks to all that came out and especially Calvary Baptist Church. Ryan was truly a blessing and not a day goes by that we don't think about him. Hope everyone enjoys the pictures and please remember that we will do it again the 2nd weekend of October every year, so come and join us !

Sweet Girls !

Yesterday Kyleigh and I went to Homestead Hollow along with Mom , Dad, Christie, and Kyndle.
We had so much fun . The cooler weather really got me in the Fall mood . Kyleigh had her 1st taste of butterbeans and dumplings. I think that she really liked them ! Last week we took our first family beach trip to Panama City and had sooo much fun!! Kyleigh wasn't so sure about the water at first, but she ended up loving it!! I took the day off today so that I could take care of some doctor visits and then spend the day with Kyleigh, Christie, and Kyndle !! We had so much fun . We went to a craft show in Gardendale and of course we bought lots of bows for the girls!! Kyleigh and Kyndle got to meet the Easter bunny for the first time. Kyleigh LOVED him, she just looked at him and started smiling everytime. I really enjoyed having a girls day out , we got a lot of shopping accomplished :) Hope everyone has a great weekend !!!!!!!!!!!

Miss Kyndle Faith Mitchell was born on Feb. 17,2009 at 12:54 p.m. she weighed 8lbs. 3ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long ! She is absolutely gorgeous !! She has a lot of hair !! We are so jealous !
Christie did an AWESOME job with labor. Her labor could not have went any smoother ! She only had to push for like 20 minutes , Kyndle was ready for her grand appearance . Chad is already wrapped around those precious little fingers ! They are such a beautiful family , and I am such a PROUD aunt !!!!!! Everyone is doing great , and I promise to post more pictures soon !!! ( I have lots !!! )

Today we decided that we would give walking around the track a try and hopefully it would hurry up Aunt Christie's labor !!!!! We are so ready for little Miss Kyndle to get here , we are willing to try anything ! The weather has been awesome today , so Kyleigh got to experience the playground for the 1st time . She LOVED it !!!! I really think the swings were her favorite , it was a lot of fun . I really enjoyed myself and am looking forward to carrying Kyleigh back !

The Christening

On Sunday , January the 11th , Kyleigh was Christened at Hueytown First United Methodist Church. She looked precious . The gown that she got to wear was the actual one that Kevin also wore when he was Christened . The gown has been in the family for more than 30 years. Everyone that has worn the dress has had their name and date mongrammed on the back , Kyleigh will be added next ! It was very special for Kyleigh to able to wear that gown , it is beautiful! Kyleigh is our blessing !!!!
